Hitting The Reset Button On My Eating Habits
Do you believe in coincidences? I don’t.
That’s why, when I visited one of my favorite weight lifting websites, T-Nation.com, and read all about the V- (Velocity)Diet 3.0, I knew it was just what I needed.
You see, I’ve had it. My weight keeps creeping up and no matter how determined I am to drop the extra pounds hanging around my waist, I’ve failed to make a dent, so to speak.
Last summer, I dropped about three inches around my waist, mainly because I was insanely active, riding my bike to and from work – a total of 25 miles, playing ball hockey for two hours each week-end, diving lessons (4 hours) and working at a physically demanding job.
Then, I got a new office job. I stopped riding my bike to work, cut down on my diving schedule and quit playing ball hockey. Not surprisingly, my weight started its upward climb.
As a personal trainer, my goal was and still is to educate people about the food they eat so they can stop falling prey to every diet that comes down the river. That’s why I offer my e-book, TAKING IT OFF! free to anyone who wants it.
But sometimes you just have to take more drastic measures. And that’s where I’m at.
My eating habits have become to “loose”. Instead of limiting my intake of junk food to just one “free day“, I find myself indulging my sweet tooth far too often during the week.
So, this Monday, April 13th, I’m hitting the reset button on my eating habits – just like on my favorite video game, Hot Shots Golf. When I hit the ball in the water or out of bounds or miss a few putts, I simply reset the game and start over.

V-Diet 3.0
And the V-Diet 3.0 is the perfect way to reset my taste-buds and my eating habits. It’s simple, easy-to-follow, completely FREE and damn effective. The other thing I like, is it is designed to be a short-term affair – just 28 days.
As Steve Pavlina explains in his article about the power of a 30-day challenge, 30…or 28 days is long enough to (re)establish new patterns, yet not so long that you can’t endure the challenge of something new.
I’ll be blogging about my journey over the next 28 days and I invite you to follow along. Even better, head over to the T-Nation.com and read about the V-Diet 3.0 and join me.
