BMR Weight Loss Calculator
Before you begin, here are some important notes about the BMR weight loss calculator:
- The calculation used to provide you with your BMR is an approximation. The most accurate method for measuring your BMR involves laying on a table in a testing lab, hooked up to machines, under medical supervision.
- This calculator is meant for adults only.
- The values provided by this weight loss calculator may UNDERestimate caloric requirements for athletes.
- The values provided by this weight loss calculator may OVERestimate caloric requirements for people who are obese.
A Better Way To Use The BMR Weight Loss Calculator
I'm a big believer in focusing on where you want to end up, not where you are right now. So, here's an idea on how to better use this BMR Weight Loss Calculator to reach your weight loss goals.
Instead of inputting your current weight, enter your target weight. This will give you a slightly more accurate reading of how many calories you need to eat to lose weight.
As mentioned earlier, this calculator becomes less accurate the more overweight you are. For that reason, I recommend using your target weight.
Just for fun, enter both values - your current weight and your goal weight - and see the difference.
